UTWS17 Firmware Upgrade Guide

The UTWS17 firmware can be upgraded through the FiiO Control app (or FiiO Music app). Both online and local firmware upgrades are supported.

1. Online Firmware Upgrade

1. Make sure your smartphone is connected to the internet.

2. Open the FiiO Control app and enter the UTWS17 device settings page.

3. Tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner to access Settings.

4. Select Firmware Upgrade → Online Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.

2. Local Firmware Upgrade

1. Both Android and iOS devices support firmware upgrades. Make sure FiiO Control is installed on your smartphone. 

2. Download the firmware upgrade file and copy it to your smartphone.

3. Open FiiO Control and enter the UTWS17 device settings page.

4. Tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then select Firmware Upgrade → Local Upgrade.

5. Locate and select the firmware file you copied to your smartphone, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.

Important Notes

1. Both earhooks must be connected

Before upgrading, make sure both the left and right earhooks are connected to your smartphone. You can check their battery levels in the FiiO Control app to confirm their connection status.

Both earhooks must be able to play audio normally before proceeding.

You only need to perform the firmware upgrade once to update both the left and right earhooks.

2. Remove both earhooks from the charging case

Before upgrading, remove both earhooks from the charging case.

Do not perform the firmware upgrade while the earhooks are inside the charging case.

If the earhooks are upgraded while inside the charging case, they may enter charging mode during the restart process and fail to return the required response to the app, resulting in a firmware upgrade failure.

3. Individual earhook upgrades are not supported

The left and right earhooks cannot be upgraded separately.

If the two earhooks have different firmware versions, the device must be returned to FiiO for servicing.

Note: The UTWS17 firmware upgrade requires FiiO Control V4.7.1 or later. Please update the app to the required version before proceeding with the firmware upgrade.

1. Added support for Bluetooth 6.2 protocol stack.

2. Fixed the issue where the device would restart during LE AUDIO playback.

3. Fixed abnormal battery level display after connecting to a phone.

4. Optimized the low output amplitude issue when connected to certain phone models.

注意：UTWS17 固件升级需要搭配 FiiO Control V4.7.1 或更高版本才能进行，请先将 APP 更新至对应版本。
