So I've been connecting my PS5 to K9 using Reiyin DA-DD but getting the audio drop outs on all digital output sadly. The analog output is working when using 3.5mm to 2RCA to the K9 but the volume is way too low even on max and the audio quality is a no go.
I even tried connecting the K9 using UAC 2.0 to 1.0 downgrade cable from JDS Labs but it didn't work on PS5, not detected.
Out of my curiosity, I bought the BTA30 Pro as a DAC connecting my PS5 to K9 since it support UAC 1.0
My PS5 did detect the BTA30 Pro, then I connect the K9 and BTA30 Pro with Coaxial cable and set the BTA30 Pro in DAC mode. I change the input on K9 to Coaxial, and guess what? boom! it worked without any audio drop outs.
By default the signal is at 48kHz on K9
I decided to try the upsampling feature on BTA30 Pro
Yep, 192kHz! That's the maximum sampling rate on the K9 coaxial.
The PS5 Settings. The PS5 3D sound also working fine. The sound is so clear, pristine and loud even on mid gain at 12'. Pairing this with Fidelio X2HR, the soundstage is just so good, way better than my arctis pro wireless even in wired.
