Hello everyone,

I recently bought the SnowSky/FiiO Disc mainly to use as a compact Bluetooth music player with my SoundPEATS H3 TWS earbuds.

The Disc is running the latest available firmware. The SoundPEATS H3 also have the latest firmware installed through the PeatsAudio app.

I managed to get LDAC working, but only after disabling multipoint/dual-device connection in the SoundPEATS app. When multipoint is enabled, the Disc connects using AAC instead of LDAC. After disabling multipoint, the connection correctly switches to LDAC.

I understand that LDAC and multipoint may not work simultaneously on these earbuds, so this part is now clear.

However, I still have two serious Bluetooth usability problems.

1. The volume is not synchronized

The Disc and the SoundPEATS H3 appear to use separate volume levels.

Even when the Disc volume is set to maximum, the earbuds can still be very quiet. I have to increase the internal volume of the earbuds separately using their touch controls.

This means that after connecting the earbuds, I sometimes need to manually raise their volume again. There does not appear to be any Absolute Volume or volume synchronization option in the Disc settings.

Is this normal behaviour for the Disc, or is there a hidden setting that enables synchronized Bluetooth volume?

2. Play/Pause, Next and Previous controls do not work

This is the main problem.

The touch controls on my SoundPEATS H3 cannot control playback on the Disc:

Play/Pause does nothing. Next Track does nothing. Previous Track does nothing.

The same controls work correctly when the SoundPEATS H3 are connected to my iPhone and other devices, so the earbuds themselves appear to be working normally.

Because the Bluetooth media controls do not work, I have to take the Disc out of my pocket every time I want to pause the music or change tracks.

Unfortunately, controlling playback directly on the Disc is also quite inconvenient. The screen is very small, the touch controls are difficult to press accurately, and track changes are not immediate. After tapping Next, there is a noticeable delay before the next track starts, so quickly skipping several tracks is frustrating.

I bought the Disc specifically because I wanted a simple, reliable Bluetooth player with LDAC. The sound quality is good, but the lack of working AVRCP/media controls makes everyday use with TWS earbuds very difficult.

Has anyone tested the SnowSky/FiiO Disc with SoundPEATS H3 or other TWS earbuds?

I would especially like to know:

Do Bluetooth Play/Pause and track controls work with your earbuds? Is there any setting that enables AVRCP controls? Can Bluetooth volume synchronization or Absolute Volume be enabled? Is this a known firmware issue? Is FiiO planning to address it in a future firmware update?

Any advice would be appreciated.
