Online update: 

The update prompt will shows after connecting the player to the Internet with tape mode enabled. 

Local update: 

Set the device to storage mode and connect to computer, drag the downloaded Tape Mode (.apk) to the device. Then disconnect the connection and enter file manager, find the Tape Mode app in internal storage/sd card and click install.
